7. Work hard. There is no substitute for hard work.
   
8. Be bold. Don’t be afraid to take on big challenges.
   
9. Be willful. Be persistent and don’t give up easily.
   
10. Be hard to compete with. Make yourself difficult to replace.
    
11. Build a network. Surround yourself with talented people.
    
12. Be internally driven. Please do what you do because you believe in it, not because you want to impress others.
    
13. You get rich by owning things. Focus on owning equity in things that increase in value.
